David Munch, M.D., is the chief clinical and quality officer for Exempla Lutheran Medical Center. In this position he is responsible for Lean Production implementation supporting organizational improvement. He is also responsible  for Medical Staff Services, Pharmacy Services, Health Information Management Services, System Safety Culture implementation, and disaster planning.

Dr. Munch has an extensive background in health care administrative services in the hospital, health plan and physician organization arenas. He has practiced internal medicine for over 20 years in the Denver area. He is a member of the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality Advisory Group on High Reliability, and a board member and past chair for the West Chamber serving Jefferson County.

He is board certified in internal medicine and received his bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, graduating Summa Cum Laude in molecular, cellular and development biology.
