G. Steven “Steve” Sanders has served as the CEO of Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital since April 1994. He has been with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System since 1982.

Sanders served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967, where he received training as a medical laboratory technologist.  He holds a Masters Degree in Health Care Administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Business Management from the  University of Houston.  He graduated from Whetstone High School, Columbus, Ohio. 

Sanders is an affiliate of the American College of Healthcare Executives, past Board Member of the Greater Houston Hospital Council, past Ex-officio Member of the Board of the Texas Hospital Association and Board Member of the Texas Hospital Association PAC.  He is married to Kathryn Massey Sanders.  They have two adult sons, Ryan and Jimmy and one granddaughter, Avery Beth.  His hobbies are golf and travel.
