Lanham is the director of Lean Six Sigma at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which was one of the first hospitals in the country to apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to healthcare. In April of 2000, Lanham completed the Six Sigma Black Belt Training Program through the American Society of Quality and in 2003 she completed the GE Healthcare Black Belt and Master Black Belt training.
Lanham has overall responsibility for organizational implementation of Lean Six Sigma, which includes program development, deployment of strategic objectives, project selection, training, coaching and mentoring Black Belts and Green Belts, and assuring that projects attain and maintain statistically significant improvements.
Lanham has been involved with numerous committees and projects aimed at driving efficiencies, redesigning processes, reducing medical errors and enhancing patient safety. She is a frequent presenter at national, regional and state conferences, including the American Association of Diabetic Educators, the International Quality Congress sponsored by the American Society for Quality, the University Healthcare Consortium National Conference, the Wisconsin Hospital Association, and several Lean Six Sigma conferences. Lanham was a Milwaukee Business Journal Women of Influence award winner in 2004.

Lanham received her B.S.N. from Otterbein College, Westerville, Ohio and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She has an extensive clinical and management background in critical care nursing and has worked in the health care field for over 30 years.
