Patti Wilson is a full-time infection control coordinator at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Wilson has been certified in infection control since 1993, and she has worked in an acute care setting for 28 years, with 18 years in infection control specialization.

Wilson serves as an ad hoc member of the Wisconsin Hospital Association Quality measures team.  She is past president of the local Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), has served on numerous committees and has been a presenter at local APIC meetings.

Wilson has been involved with numerous multidisciplinary committees at Froedtert Hospital aimed at preventing and reducing infections, including the current Joint Commission hand hygiene project, Surgical Care Improvement Project, blood stream infection prevention, ventilator associated pneumonia prevention, as well as sharps safety initiatives.

Wilson co-authored an article published in the American Journal of Infection Control titled “The Monkeypox Virus Outbreak: Reflections from the Frontlines.”  Wilson also created a poster presentation entitled “Biomedical Device-Associated Infections in Surgical –Critical Care Patients.”

Wilson received her B.S.N. from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
