About the Targeted Solutions Tool
Developed by the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare (the Center), the Targeted Solutions Tool® (TST®) is a unique online application that helps Joint Commission-accredited organizations solve some of the most persistent health care quality and safety challenges. Through a step-by-step process using Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) and change management methodologies, the TST guides organizations in accurately measuring their actual performance, identifying their barriers to excellent performance, and then directing them to proven solutions that are customized to address each organization’s specific barriers. The TST is complimentary to Joint Commission accredited organizations. TST data is confidential — surveyors do not have access to data. The Center currently offers four TSTs:
