Jan Kendrick

Executive Director - Product Development & Operational Excellence

Jan Kendrick serves as the Executive Director of Product Development & Operational Excellence for The Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare. In this role, Ms. Kendrick is responsible for the strategy, operations, and financial management of the Center for Transforming Healthcare. This includes oversight of the budgeting and strategic planning processes, development of new products and services, and administrative management of the Center. Ms. Kendrick is also a certified Master Change Agent and Green Belt, working to support the Joint Commission’s Robust Process Improvement® (RPI®) culture, which includes the use of Lean Six Sigma change management, and other performance improvement methodologies to drive results.


Ms. Kendrick has more than 20 years of experience in operations, change management, project management, professional education, communications, and publishing. She has served in a variety of positions within the Joint Commission enterprise. Before joining The Joint Commission, Ms. Kendrick worked in educational publishing, where she developed books, interactive toolkits, and training programs.


Ms. Kendrick holds a master’s from DePaul University, Chicago in new media studies and a bachelor’s degree in english from University of Montevallo, Montevallo, AL.
